2009 started with $9600, spent down via commercial, expos, free CE
Net loss of $2600
Still plenty of money at $7000
-where do we make our money?: CEs and ~$800 chapter dues

Letter from Rob Worth reporting – WPTA BOD reached agreement in Athletic trainers WATA, now have neutral position on changes in their bill, expect them to introduce their bill soon.

SWD Goals 2009

2009 SWD WPTA GOALS:
1) The SWD will have at least 10 members nominated for the 2009 WPTA Physical Therapist of the Year Award. MET
2) The SWD will provide PT education for its members to include topics on ethics/jurisprudence to help Therapists meet CEU requirements for licensure. MET- WORKERS COMP IN AUGUST
3) The SWD will organize volunteers for participation in an event to promote public awareness of physical therapy. MET WITH IRONMAN AND GARDEN EXPO
4) There will be a full slate of candidates running for open positions on the SWD Executive Committee in the fall of 2009(vice chair and secretary).MET
5) The SWD will increase attendance of Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants at district meetings by 10% in 2009.
6) The SWD will implement a marketing campaign to increase public awareness in regards to physical therapy services within the 1st quarter of the year. MET- RAN TV AD FOR 3 MONTHS IN THE 2ND QUARTER
2010 proposed Goals
1. The SWD will provide PT education for its members to include topics on ethics/jurisprudence to help Therapists meet CEU requirements for licensure.
Comments – CE with nominal fee $20?
2. The SWD will organize volunteers for participation in an event to promote public awareness of physical therapy.
Comments – ideas for continuing expos, continue to vary them: Garden expo, wellness expo, canoecopia, Madison minimarathon, dairy expo
3. There will be a full state of candidates running for open positions

4. The SWD will increase attendance of PT and PTAs at district meetings by 10% in 2010
- comments: Madison locations have been the best location
- Michele volunteered to work on skyping our meetings so the people can conference call our meetings if they cannot attend the actual meeting, hoping to increase “attendance” and participation.
-Jim volunteered to work on a SWD Facebook page
-Goal to get a committee together to meet at the Chapter office to hold Techie meeting, to move forward with other Techie type options that could increase attendance at district meetings

-depends on if we are budget neutral, if deficit then, overall goal will be budget neutral
