&lt;p&gt;The successful candidate must:&lt;br /&gt;
1. Be licensed or eligible to practice physical therapy in Wisconsin. &lt;br /&gt;
2. Have a doctoral degree or near completion (i.e.DPT, dsc, phd, edd).&lt;br /&gt;
a. Assistant/ associate professor (tenure track) -phd or equivalent.&lt;br /&gt;
b. Clinical assistant/associate professor (instructional academic staff) &amp;ndash; DPT or equivalent.&lt;br /&gt;
3. Have a minimum of three years&amp;rsquo; experience as a clinical educator.&lt;br /&gt;
4. Have a minimum of five years&amp;rsquo; experience as a practicing clinician.&lt;br /&gt;
5. Demonstrate proficiency in educating physical therapy students. &lt;br /&gt;
6. Demonstrate ability to establish a program of scholarship.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Desired Criteria: The successful candidate should: &lt;br /&gt;
1. Have knowledge of legal, regulatory, and practice issues affecting clinical education, students and the profession of physical therapy.&lt;br /&gt;
2. Have the ability to provide leadership in both clinical and educational environments.&lt;br /&gt;
3. Have the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of professionals within the university setting and in clinical settings.&lt;br /&gt;
4. Have the ability to present a positive and professional attitude when dealing with students, clinical staff, patients, local community, and the national professional community.&lt;br /&gt;
5. Be able to function independently, setting direction and priorities with minimal supervision.&lt;br /&gt;
6. Possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, organizational, and time management skills.&lt;br /&gt;
7. Have skills in computer applications necessary for teaching, program administration, data collection, and analysis.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is the primary role of the Director of Clinical Education (DCE) to serve as a liaison between the DPT program and clinical education sites. The responsibilities of the DCE are to develop, plan, coordinate, and monitor clinical education learning environments on behalf of the academic program.&amp;nbsp; Other responsibilities include teaching academic and clinical courses, scholarship and service.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Physical Therapy Program is part of the College of Science and Health and Department of Health Professions. Other programs in the Department of Health Professions include Medical Dosimetry, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant and Radiation Therapy). Our program consists of 10 dynamic core faculty and a strong complement of adjunct faculty. We are committed to mentoring and supporting new faculty in areas of teaching, scholarship and research.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PT Program is located in the Health Science Center (HSC), recognized for its spacious, well appointed teaching labs and classrooms and established biomechanics, human performance and anatomy laboratories Our PT Program has strong alliances with national, regional, and local medical centers and practices. Relationships with the La Crosse Institute of Movement Science (LIMS), the Gundersen Lutheran Sports Medicine Residency Program and the La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium create a dynamic environment for academic and clinical professionals.&lt;/p&gt;

The program is housed at the Carroll University Center for Graduate Studies, a newly renovated, state of the art, 55,000 sq. ft. interdisciplinary graduate teaching and research facility.&amp;nbsp; This facility includes comprehensive teaching and laboratory space, muscle strengthening and cardiovascular training equipment, portable and laboratory-based gas analyses systems, state-of-the-art video and computer motion analysis, force, and EMG measurement technology.&amp;nbsp; A robust service learning program exists within the Physical Therapy and other health sciences programs to serve local international community needs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The College: The College of Natural Sciences, Health Sciences and Business includes the Department of Computational and Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Physics), the Department of Life Sciences (Biology, Environmental Sciences, Psychology), the Department of Health and Human Movement Sciences (Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health Science, Physical and Health Education, Public Health Recreation Management) and the Department of Nursing. The Division has received federal and private foundation grant awards and has offered multiple study abroad programs. &lt;p&gt;The Program: The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is housed within the Department of Health and Human Movement Sciences within in the College of Natural Science, Health Science, and Business. It is closely affiliated with the Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education, Public Health, Recreational Management, Nursing, and Physician Assistant programs. The DPT program is a fully accredited, 3+3, direct admission program. It is housed at the Carroll University Center for Graduate Studies, a newly renovated, state of the art, 55,000 sq. ft. interdisciplinary graduate teaching and research facility.&amp;nbsp; This facility includes comprehensive teaching and laboratory space, muscle strengthening and cardiovascular training equipment, portable and laboratory-based gas analyses systems, state-of-the-art video and computer motion analysis, force, and EMG measurement technology.&amp;nbsp; A robust service learning program exists within the Physical Therapy and other health sciences programs to serve local community needs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The College: The College of Natural Science, Health Science and Business includes the Department of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, the Department of Life Sciences, the Department of Health and Human Movement Sciences and the Department of Nursing. The Division has received federal and private foundation grant awards and has offered multiple study abroad programs. The College has a strong staff of support personnel and laboratory coordinators.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Carroll University: Founded in 1846, Carroll University is an independent, co-educational comprehensive college grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Carroll University is located in suburban Waukesha, 16 miles west of Milwaukee and 60 miles east of Madison. The University serves approximately 3300 students.
